Does anyone else use blending scissors for the majority of their cutting (Need help in purchasing shears!)?

I was told that it was easiest to do the majority of cutting with blending shears.  So, I'm officially going crazy trying to decide what to get for shears!  I'm considering the Geib kit for $175.99, but the thinning shears have 42 teeth, and it sounds like 26 teeth is preferrable for goldendoodles?  If I got the 26 teeth blennding shear, I'd go with the Oster from Amazon which is around $80.  Then, I don't know what shears I'd buy to go with it...ugh..  I hate it when it's not in black and white for me!

Any thoughts or recommendations?  I intend to keep Millie's fur longer, and believe I will not be shaving.  So the right scissors are extra-crucial.

Thank you for any and all help!!

I got a cheap pair of thinning shears for something like $15... and they work pretty well!  Despite the fact that it's straight Luna has REALLY thick hair in some places and they do a really good job of making things look more "natural".

I'm sure those ones are probably ok, but I'd wait for someone with a curly doodle to weigh in:)

I forgot to mention that I do the initial length cut with blunt scissors (since they require only a single cut, thinning shears require multiple cuts) then blend.

Blending shears are more for touch ups. You would need to use regular scissors first and then blend.

Thanks Barb, I read somewhere that someone did the bulk of their cutting with blending shears and said it was easier and/or faster.

What kind of blending shear would you recommend?  A 26 tooth or 42 tooth?  As I understand the less teeth, the more it removes.  Do you have a preference?  Thank you!
