Haircut

Tomorrow Penny gets her first haircut. And I'm apprehensive! I'm afraid she'll come out not looking like herself. I know, silly me. I have explicit instructions as what to cut and not cut. So hopefully, she won't look too differently...just shorter on her body and legs and top of head. I'm also wondering how she'll react. She didn't like the elec. clippers when they trimmed the bottom of her feet, but maybe that was just a feet-thing and not a clipper-thing. If it's the latter, they will have to scissor cut her. I hope they don't charge extra for scissoring. At any rate, she has to be cut, she's starting to get matted. Well, I'll post photos of the "new" Penny tomorrow. She'll probably be unrecognizable. Her hair is so long and so wild, shorter hair has got to be an improvement, right? Wish us luck! LOL!

Oh, I just noticed the pictures on your page and she looks wonderful!!!    Great job by groomer.  Adorable dog.  :)

Thanks. I'm still getting used to Penny looking different. It's like, "who is that dog? Oh, it's Penny!" LOL! You're right, the groomer did a very good job. I was pleased with the haircut. I kinda like her scruffy but her hair was starting to get all tangled so we had to get it cut.

I know what you mean.  I was always against having Millie and Cooper short until I became lazier and lazier and didn't want to deal with getting matts and tangles out.  I love them shorter now.  :)   I keep their heads longer and always keep the beard :)

The haircut was a success. You can see a photo of Penny and her new haircut in my Photos section. I'm so used to Penny being scruffy, I'm still getting used to her hair being short. But the groomer did a good job and followed all my instructions. Yay! As I've said, I think she looks less puppy-ish. Our little girl is growing up.
