I was bathing Timbow today and was reminded of why I hate doing this at home! It takes forever for him to dry!!! Any advice or quick drying techniques you could pass on?
I find the biggest help to getting a coat dry is to be able to use a blower to blow the water out. I use it before bathing to blow out any loose dust too. They are no heat dryers. I like my dogs to dry naturally, so it does take a while. Some crate time on a few towels and then sit by the fire in the winter and I take them for a walk on the leash in the summer. The cream girl above does not have a thick coat,so in the summer, she literally air dries in 15 minutes.
This has taken me a while to catch up on because we had 2 litters, Both by emergency c-section. One on Jan 23 and the other Feb 1. I sat up a total of 7 days and nights between the 2 of them.
I use a Dri Eaz blower. http://www.renspets.com/index.php/product_details/view_product/ware...
Judi have you tried the ShamWows to dry Timbow? These things work really well for soaking up water; much better than towels. They seem to help Harlow to dry quicker. I also 'ring her out' before toweling (shamwowing) her dry. Kind of use my hands like a squegee and then let her shake real well. =)
