I need help!  I need to clean my clippers, and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to removed the blade head of my Andis clippers.  I know it's got to be clogged with hair under there.  I try to slide the little bar forward, which it says to do, and then the blade is supposed to just slide off.  It doesn't.  Any thoughts or secrets?

Hold your clippers so that little bar faces you, push it in and grab the blade at the top and pull towards you....should pop off.

Thank you.  It worked!  To my surprise there was almost no hair under there.  Still - it was a good thing to do.  :)
I have 2 Andis clippers and one is easy to get the blades off and the other one IS NOT... We called Andis and we were told some models are easy to get off and some are not. I also found out Andis is located in WI and they have a warehouse!!! I think someday I'll drive down and check it out. Has anyone seen their new pink clippers for over 300.00?
Pull the blade slightly up and away from the clipper body. Also, keep canned 'air' handy to blow out the hair. I use that in addition to vacuuming the clippers after each use and then running it in a jar of "Blade Extender". I have 3 pairs of Andis and two of them have lights so I almost always use those. I use Ceramic blades too. My original clippers are 4+ yrs old and I've never had them overhauled.
