Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I groom doodles for a small number of clients and one had not brought her dog back in 7 months--I finally contacted her and she has had some family issues, so she knew the dog was long overdue for a cut. Finally got the dog here today and boy, what a puffball! Luckily, they are religious about combing and brushing and there were very few mats. The worst thing was her nails which had not been cut the whole time! She is a super sweet dog and we had her looking spiffy in no time.

She is just a beauty! I love that crushed velvet look.
Wow, I must give them credit for keeping that coat combed and brushed out!!!
Yay for keeping a dood brushed and combed, she looks great too!
I think she looks great. I applaud the brushing but I think nail trimming is at least as important.
You're right, I'm taking some of that credit back, lol.
Wow what a pretty girl! In the first picture she kinda reminds me of the guy from LMFAO:
LOL!!
I forgot to tell you all the worst part--about a week ago, they noticed that the dog had a strange smell--they couldn't figure out where it was coming from until...they found a dead mouse under her collar!!!!!!! EW!!! I guess they put that grooming off just a bit too long!!!
Oh this is the grossest thing I have heard in a long time.
How can they be religious about combing and brushing and miss a dead mouse? How does that even happen in the first place? I would have a stroke :) I am the absolute worst dog groomer in the world and even I would see a mouse...LOL!! BTW, you did a fabulous job!!
You might not if your dog had 6 inches of curly BROWN hair!! The owner was away and the woman caring for the dog isn't very observant I guess!!
I can't imagine reaching down to pet Fudge and feeling a dead mouse. It would be the end of me :)
