I took Trav in to Petco, where I was going to give him a bath, and got talking to the groomer.  Next thing I knew, I'd checked him in for a bath and trim.  Now, this is shorter than I like as a rule, but his ears were matted, and there were mats between his toes, and I'd scissored off a bit of fur myself so he was looking fairly uneven.   Now I'm worried about him getting cold when he goes outside!

LOL  --  It would be pretty darn close.  I just tried to measure Trav, but he thought we were playing and wouldn't hold still.  I think if Tara ducked her head, she could run right under.

Thanks, Ricki.  His fur better grow fast if it's going to snow--that sweater won't be much help!  I don't really notice how long his legs are unless he's very short-coated or wet.  Then he looks so much more fragile!  Tara doesn't know she's a little girl---sshhhhhh---   Of course, she's got big girl attitude!

Trav's lavender shows more now that his pink skin is showing through.

Here's a photo from a few days ago--Trav with a really, really tiny puppy...my younger daughter's new pup, which weighs just over a pound.  Trav was willing to share his toys--good boy!

Wow, what a size difference!!! And Trav is such a good boy to share! Your grandpuppy is adorable!

This photo reminds me of a time when Tara was an infant and about 5 pounds. I met a woman with 4 full grown Newfoundlands (and a self proclaimed doodle hater!) and she invited Tara over to play with the Newfies. What I said was "That sounds great" and what I was thinking was "There's no way in h*ll THAT'S ever going to happen!!!" LOL

Yikes!  I don't blame you for passing on THAT play date!

I call this puppy Scooter, though I think her name is Tina.  She is a cutie.  I'll bet Tara was adorable!  I never even saw Trav til he was about 10 lbs., and he seemed little!

I think Traveler looks great both ways. He's such a beautiful color.  I like to keep Finn puppy cut  -- shorter in summer, longer in winter.  I'm glad he likes his coat...he'll need it until it warms up or he grows out.

Thanks, Cheryl.  I think a puppy cut is probably the best choice.  Ricki said it might snow here--yikes!  Trav has this jacket but his undercarriage is naked!

If the weather forecasters were ever correct we might have to worry about it! LOL

oh my gosh...Time for a lambs wool coat :)
