Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi there,

I am wondering if any of you had any experience with either of these clippers?  Ideal I am looking to trim between his paw pads but not sure which one I should settle with.  In the future I may groom him as well.  The prices are different however that doesn't not necessarily dictate the quality.  I was told to have 1.5 mm (10 blade).

Walmart http://www.walmart.com/ip/Wahl-Pet-Clipper-Kit-Basic-Series-Dogs/11... $25

Andis Freedom http://www.amazon.com/Andis-Easy-Clip-Freedom-Cordless-Clipper/dp/B... $55

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I wouldn't go to a cordless if you plan to do your own grooming eventually. I have always favoured the Andis products but I haven't owned a Wahl.

I have an Andis 2 speed that really takes a tough beating and works rather well.
It has a cord however the cord is ( I'm guessing) 7-8 foot.
Anyway, there is plenty of cord.
Happy with Andis. It paid for itself the first yrar
We also have an Andis 2 speed, corded.. We love it. If you are planning on grooming him in the future, I would invest a few more $ and get a good quality clipper.

I have been using the Wahl for a very long time. It works ok. I do have to go over the same areas of the body several times so that it's even but I have been thinking that maybe I need a new blade. My doodles look very nice when they are done.  I'm sorry not much help but I seen no one had posted anything at all about the Wahl clippers so I wanted to let you know that like mine. I guess I would probably give them a 3 1/2 star rating out of 5.
