What Kind of Brush Have I Got Here?

2-3 years ago Chris Christensen Systems provided us with some grooming goodies for a contest we had on DK.  Last week I contacted them again to see if they'd be interested in giving us some prizes in exchange for us promoting their products/company.  I didn't get a response, but within a week I found a package from them on my doorstep.  When I finally opened the package I found 12 T brush rakes.  NOT what I'd asked for, but hey, beggers can't be choosers.  Not being familiar with this brush I wasn't sure what it was intended for.  I searched their catalog and their website and found no mention of this particular product.  So, I took some pictures and am bringing it to all of you, since nobody has responded to my inquiry yet.

What kind of coat would you say this brush is intended for?

I don't have this rake but I use another rake on Elvis to detangle his coat when it gets a little longer.  He has a woolly coat that mats easily and by long, I mean about an 1-1.5 inches :-)  For me, it works better than a pin brush.  After the rake, I use a Les Pooches brush and then a poodle comb.

I am trying to visualize using this during a bath. I would think it would work best on a straighter coat, but isn't a rake used
to de-mat hair?

Normally a rake is for dematting...but this looks like no rake I've ever seen.  That's probably why they discontinued it and sent a bunch to me...haha!  Just trying to get a feel for the best use for this brush so I can tell people if I give them away.

It looks like maybe for detangling a matted wavy coat.  Long bristles spaced wide apart and rounded tips on the bristles.

Adina, I would love one, just got finished bathing Mitzi and have to do Pepper next. It sure would come in handy! Get a
contest going if that is what it takes!

I did finally get an email response from CC.  Apparently they had delegated this to someone else who didn't respond but there was intent to get back to me.  They were designed to get through curly dense coats in the tub while bathing.
