She's 1/2 retriever -- so how many can she retrieve correctly?

There's alot to be said about POSITIVE training and IGNORING what you don't like... watch this silly TOY obsessed doodle gerl.  I know I'm her mom and biased, but I can't say enough about how "EASY" this doodle gerl was to train .... Pay attention to what I do when she gets one wrong ..... NOTHING !!!! .... and she picks right back up and gets the next one right....

Little Jazz is now 3 years old  and a "medium" golden doodle that has been OBSESSED with fetching the "correct" toy since I became obsessed with bringing her something home every time I would go out shopping and "give it a name" <sigh>... She hears the "crinkles" of the bags (even groceries) and sits patiently at attention batting her BIG EYES to see if possibly.... there is something...... for her..

This is our 1st video so please excuse when the camera shakes (from DH laughin ........ at the dog he really wasn't ready for)  ;0)

LOL, that's really adorable! What a smart dog. My Monty is still working on developing his toy vocabulary as he is not even 1 year old. This video made me laugh! Hugs to Jazz!

Don't laugh TOO hard.... Jazz was doing this with about 6 toyz at 1 1/2 years old -- I just didn't know how to (or think to video her) ... Just "NAME" the toyz and watch it happen..... I think it's an "inner bred" trait.  (heehee)

YEAH Jazz!  What a SMART doodle you are!!!  We had a discussion a little back about how many words our doodles know... I think Jazz must be in the top five!  I'm proud of YOU too Jane... 1) for dedicating so much time to training her and 2) for letting DH in on your 'dog toy shopping addiction' - I have to hide some from my DH and then when he says another "New" toy - I just say "Nah, she's had this for a while" - LOL

Forwarded this to my wife's email.  When she started watching thought it was Riley ( our Mini Austrialian Labradoodle).  Then she started to notice furnishings, and who is that lady?  thinking I was the one taking the video.  Too funny!  Our dogs look like clones.  Ours will fetch a stuffed toy in another room when asked to get your toy, never thought to name the toys though!

Jazz will "sit" and "wait" and I can go hide any toy in one of the bedrooms (she's really good, so I have to go in all of them to try and fool her). 

I'm now turning the light OFF when I leave a room.  She is so excited when I "release" her to go find it she lets out a YELP and spins around before she DASHES off to go find it ..... IN THE PITCH DARK!  She can find them anywhere .... even behind the toilet !!!  hahahahaha

Little bugger is really challenging me .... to find new ways to challenge her.
