I'm praying so hard right now, but somehow I just feel that he is going to be okay and back with Karen really soon.  I feel like he's in the right hands with this Specialist and there will be some answers so that they can move forward with treatment.

Yes, Denise, I agree all the prayers we can muster are needed for Karen and Jack. They have been on my heart for weeks. This is so hard.

I have been following the posts from Karen & Jack/JD and JD has been very ill.  Karen's last post said he was at the specialists and she hopes he can come home tonight.  I am hopeful our power of prayer will be with JD and Karen.

Another update, my dads mind is really causing problems for his recovery. He seems more confused then ever. The nurse calls me when he is really acting up and I talk to him which for now calms him down. I have to do research on dementia soI am prepared for what lies ahead. I was praying that he would make enough progress in therapy that he could stand up and walk with his walker. So far its not working. I have always promised him he would never live in a home and I am going to do everything possible to get him back here with us.  It did turn out that after a bone scan my daughter not only sprained her ankle it was chipped and the top of her foot was fractured.  She is doing much better now and she said thanks for all the prayers!   I want to thank all of you for your prayers also!  Denise

Things are looking a little brighter.  My daughter is back at her  house and back to work still with some discomfort but better. My dad is now in extended care for therapy. He is doing much better. I am praying that he is able to get back to his old self so I can bring him back home. I know this may sound crazy but I hate it when he is in a nursing home or hospital and not here.  I would much rather take care of him here and not have to worry about not being with him every minute.  I feel guilty if I am not there with him more then one visit a day and I know its impossible because I babysit my grandson. Thanks for all your prayers they mean alot to me.

My dad was taken to ER last night and has pneumonia. The community nurse was here earlier in the day but his vitals were all good except a little coughing. He started going down hill and spiked a fever. My daughter now has an air cast and they feel she has a fracture on top of her foot also. She is getting around better. Thanks for all your prayers.
