I have an 8 week old F2b who looks like a retriever I'm hoping she doodies out but I have doubts

We do not have a doodle yet, however really want to get one. I am starting to get confused as to which cross is best for allergies. My daughter has a new diagnosis to do allergies so we need minimal shedding. The more I read, the more I get confused. Some things say an F1 is best, others say an F2b...help?

I know that is how all the doodle people explain it, but I can't figure out how that makes any sense.  Why wouldn't an F2b be a second generation backbred to a poodle if an F1b is a first generation backbred to a poodle?

This is not correct.  This is the way it goes...Golden Retriever x Poodle = F1

F1 x Poodle = F1b

F1 x F1b = F2b

Now I am expect a litter of doodle any day and this is what is happening here

F1 x F2b = Mulit-Generation

You can get F3 numerous ways, but it is easier to say Mulit-Generation.  I keep very strick Records of my Dogs

My wife, daughter and I are proud parents of twelve new F2B doodles.  We are so excited about the new puppies and are looking to connect to other breeders who have had success setting up adoptions with new owners.  We want to ensure the new owners are good caring families that we can trust with these bundles of joy.  Any help or suggestions are appreciate, thanks.

Chester is an F2B GD and he is in the Heavy Weight group.

80 Lbs at 15 Months. He is in line with his Brothers but his parents didn't weigh that much.

Our GD is a F2b.  She's about eight months old and weighs about 22 lbs..

Marley is an F2b and she weighs 45 pounds at 9 months! She has been such a fun addition to our family :) Are F2B goldendoodles 'hard to find'? Honestly,we didn't know what we were doing when we got Marley. She was close to our house and 'on clearance'... Thank goodness for DK and all the advice/knowledge!

Thanks Louise. I knew I'd get someone's attention if I posted I was the only one. Now I don't feel so alone. Plus I just found out my f2b has a sister that just joined the D.K.
