Pearl weighed in at 30.7 lbs. Yikes! Anybody else have a current weight?

Now that the pups are teething, try soaking a sock in water, wring it out and tie a knot in it and freeze it.  It helps with the teething.  A six inch piece of thick rope is good but want retain the water.  Dont forget the marrow bones.  Freeze with some peanut butter smeared around the inside.

Pearl has lost 2 baby teeth! It will be a relief when teething is over.

I haven't had any itching problems - except of course her initial aversion to wearing a collar, though she does LOVE to stretch and roll in my dead bermuda grass.... I know Lynne bathed Georgia in a different shampoo though....I've used baby shampoo on her the one time I washed her at home when she had an accident on herself, and she didn't seem to have any itching with that shampoo either.  Poor Lula!!  Good luck with the fish oil/coconut oil - keep us updated!

Ive also been reading about coconut oil.  A tsp per 10 pounds of body weight is supposed to do wonders.  Start slowly and work up to the full amount.  Havent tried it yet but no problems here at the moment.  Also, a tblspoon of plain yogurt is very beneficial. Has anyone else had itching problems?

Have you bathed her or had her groomed? I really think Pearl had a reaction to that first shampoo. Sometimes I wonder if it is fleas but haven't seen any. I've started heartworm meds but not flea stuff yet. I think it's just puppy but pearl isn't itching like crazy anymore.

Yea... I stick a pin in the capsule & squirt it out on her food once a day.

Hope she's not allergic to fish ;) I give Pearl 1 a day. She still itches some but it is a lot better.

Susan, I recommended that Carlette use fish oil to stop the itching.  It seems to have worked.  It is good for their skin and coat. I pierce a capsule and squeeze it on the food. You may also want to look at the ingredients in any treats you give them.  Itching is usually caused by corn, soy or wheat, shampoo, or something environmental.  Laundry detergent used to wash their bedding, vinal flooring, flea medication.  Let me know how it goes.

Also, a caution to everyone, dont feed anything, treats, rawhide, or food that is from China.  Ive gotten several alerts from a dogfood watch sight that says treats from China have been blamed for dog deaths in several states.
