Saturday evening I noticed that a branch on my young flower cherry tree had split. I retrieved my lopers from the garage and proceeded to trim the broken branch. I thought it was a small branch and did not bring my safety glasses along. Big mistake! I had to use quite a bit of muscle to cut the branch. When the cut finally went completely through the branch sprung away and pushed the lopers right into my face. I now have a butterfly stitch in my right eyebrow and a huge black eye. But what is bruised even more than my eye is my pride. I should have added... Share your gardening war stories.
