The plant catalogs have started arriving and in a fit of optimism , spring fever or something I've already placed an order for some new perennials. And just in time for spring the new USDA plant hardiness zones have been published. It seems I've gone from 6A to 6B. If I live long enough I may be able to grow "tropical" plants outside all year long : )

OMG ( Oh my Garden)  These are fascinating articles.  Yes, we have changed. Not that I can't notice myself, something has certainly changed,  but these maps, well they map it all out for you.

6A to anywhere from 5b to 4a

Honestly, if we get much more water ( we are flooded again)  I'll have to plant algae.

Great Posts

Yes, slogging through mud here recently. I keep getting the urge to sprinkle grass seed and then I remind myself to be patient. But I have an awful lot of reseeding to do and the doodles have been digging. Actually rice might become a good idea : )

Ha Ha!  RICE would be perfect.
