Without leaving my home I can travel our beautiful country just by looking at your pictures here on DK

For many of us, harvesting of our vegetable gardens has begun.   I'm excited to eat my first cucumber today.
It's all mine.  I'm going to peel and eat it whole.

It would be interesting to see some of your gardens.  If you have a moment please share some pictures of your vegetable gardens and crops.

Whoops, replied to wrong post-guess i should take pics tomorrow and say goodbye for now...:)
No, not at all. We appreciate your input and look forward to seeing your pictures here.
The cucumber gave me inspiration. I do cook, but don't take criticism from others very well so I don't cook for other people. I find it intimidating. If you do not want to be politically correct you could ask me " You are Greek--they can all cook" As my father used to say the Greeks arrived on boats, painted the Brooklyn Bridge and all opened a fancy restaurant a year later--and lived happily ever after. $$$$$$$$$ :)
Geesh am I off subject.
Just teasing=we've had 60mph winds, rain and hail this afternoon-hopefully be able to get pics tomorrow. I've already had to re-stake once today-totally blew over cages. Until Monday guys!
You can keep the wind and hail but we'll take some rain, thanks.
REALLY? That bad of storms? New Albany is South of us.... Beautiful area. Been there many times. DH has a farm in Patascala.

I see your beautiful garden on your own page. Very nice :)

Hey, wait a minute. Linda haven't I talked with you on the phone. Your husband brought me Tucker Doodle up from Columbus? Right?
I'm never satisfied with it---either have too many things going on or spots that have nothing. I've had a lot of disease problems(handled now) with my tomatoes this year-probably tried to plant too much-they got too big(6') tall and not enough air circulation...Yes, I want it perfect and always try to get it but have to live with what nature gives me...goes to show you that they're are things in life that cannot be controlled. It's when I go back to my kitchen and try to make the perfect loaf of bread-do get closer to that ideal in the kitchen. I do work full time so I don't have nearly enough time to do what i want in the kitchen or garden.
Love the outskirts of Columbus-even sold homes in Patascala. Storms are still raging outside so I'm going to shut down computer-where r u? Be back tomorrow-my day off.
DH has a farm?
Yes, he and his brothers have a section. Old property divided up now among cousins and family who still farm their parts. Some taken by the highway. His grandparents home is now abandoned.
But he grew up there in the summers working on the farm and I tease him about being a farm boy. It ( his upbringing ) really shows up sometimes.
Hey, nothing bad about growing up on a farm.
Haven't been on lately but yes, that was David doing the doodle train...We pulled another one on Sunday and got to Sherri in Cincy-it's RUFUS on the drc site
