Sometimes two, or more, are more than the sum of the parts. When I read several years ago that people had clematis growing through their roses I loved the idea and images. Now the clematis I planted on this rose has matured a bit and I am very happy with the results. Of course combos can also be of different textures and colors of foliage too. This combination was planned but some happen as you go along. My garden is mostly blues, purples, roses , pinks, whites and yellows.

I'm not a hot color gardener. But I am sure some of you have interesting combos of those. Come on, show us your stuff : )

GORGEOUS!!!! LOVE that Clematis!!! I just planted 3 myself : )
I find clematis easy to grow and so rewarding. I have lots.

I realized the group photo is another kind of combo example. This garden has grown more dense with time, just how I like it.

This is beautiful
Thanks.

Gorgeous!

My garden is a tiny little plot of land, mostly daisies and hostas. Yesterday I looked out my patio door and saw beautiful purple flowers, what the heck is that I asked myself, then I realized my clamped hanger from the upper deck came off and smashed to the ground below - my mother's day hanger was now upside down and on the ground.

That my friends is the extent of my so called garden.

Thanks. So sorry about your hanging plant.

I love your pictures  I just started some plantings yesterday I will hopefully get what u all have done, if only Wilson would stop wanting to go over to the neighbors house !!!

Thanks. You can do it.
Your photos are just lovely.  My next door neighbor also has clematis and roses that have grown together and it is stunning. The rose is a beautiful pink climbing rose.
Thanks.
