Just when you thought we'd have a hiatus in this group for the winter here's a visual tidbit and the NYBG, and I, did all the work. They have this show every year but this was the first time I've been--I had to get my money's worth from my membership : ) The quotes around train in the title are mine since the show really is more about miniature buildings and structures, past and present from in and around NY. There are trains running among the exhibit. The objects are all made from botanical materials, bark, pine cones etc. There are, so a young man told me, 250 buildings and they switch some in and out from year to year. But it seemed like there were that many just this year alone. Luckily I did not get pictures of them all. Some of these things like the Little Red Lighthouse are special to me because we went there when I was a kid. The conservatory miniature was my favorite. The show itself is held in the conservatory among the plants. To see them if you'd like go to the link and click on the slide show or pick and choose.

This was a lovely "tour". I loved the way the buildings were placed among the plants and flowers as if they were indeed "landscaped" by them. And I think I saw yellow Calla lilies in the background of your red lighthouse, which I thought was a nice coincidence.
Thanks for sharing!
I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Those could be Calla Lilies.
