The Orchid Show at the NY Botanical Gardens.

This year the theme was living walls designed by some fellow named Patrick Blanc. There were gorgeous orchids as ever.  But the day, around 80 beautiful degrees, and the flowering trees really were the stars. Just a taste:

Lovely!  I really like those orange ones in the last picture.

I go to the orchid show here sometimes - not usually a lot of big displays but they have a lot of varieties of orchids for sale.

I never buy any although they do sell them too. My success rate with orchids is zero although I have managed to keep a few, without flowers, alive for some time.
