This time of year lots of things have berries. I have planted, or the birds have planted, these things for that reason. I no longer put out bird seed since it attracts the four legged critters but I do have berries . In the summer the birds get blueberries, blackberries and whatever else before I can. And then in the fall, lots of the shrubs set their own feast.
Blackberries, never seen ripe by me : )

The idea I get is that I would absolutely love to wander around your yard! I love plants with berries as much as plants with flowers!
I have a large thorny bush in the side yard with clusters of brilliant orange berries in the fall. I've never known what it was, I'm going to get a photo to post here and maybe someone can identify it for me.
My raspberries are just about done now. The heavy rains we've had put a fast end to them.
Could be a pyracantha.I don't have them.

If you can get here you'd be welcome to wander. Today I sat on a rock by the brook, something I haven't done in a long time, just snapping photos of my two furry friends.
I think you nailed it, it looks very much like that!
What JD and I really need is our own tour bus, like John Madden and the rock stars. There would absolutely nothing to prevent us from travelling the country visiting all of our doodle friends! Wouldn't that be wonderful!
It would be, what's stopping you? I've taken it a step farther. The other day I decided if I were to win the lottery, unlikely since I almost never buy tickets, I'd buy an ocean going yacht. Then I could take the dogs around the world with me. The crew would make great gourmet meals, we'd have room to walk and play ball...I guess I could put a tour bus on board to for the land portion. Okay, dream on and allow flights of fancy, it doesn't hurt anyone.
Lottery is the operative word in this fantasy. I imagine tour bus drivers need to be paid, lol.
Yup, yacht crews too.
Asparagus.
Now I'm feeling sad about all the plants I've had that have petered out over the years. Well, I guess I could always plant more : )
Nice!
