The garden has been neglected all summer. It was just too hot and dry. But right now, I have some beautiful anemones blooming. Thank goodness for perennials.

Sure it does. That's how it produces the pollen to torment people. Not very pretty though.

I think I'm one of the tormented. I'll have to see if I can zoom in with my camera and take a decent picture of it. It's very tall. After they cut the field down, that stuff grew back to a couple of feet high in a very short amount of time. It's evil.
If your allergic to ragweed it will get you from a distance. I hate it. It's ugly, ubiquitous and a potent allergen. Hopefully it supports some exotic, beautiful species of bug or something.
Wishful thinking. It probably supports poisonous spiders or something like that.
Here's some of my goldenrod which some consider a weed but I like.
