Any body tried Zymox Otic for ear issues?

Has anybody tried Zymox Otic to prevent or treat ear infections?  My miniature Australian Labradoodle just got her first ear infection and is being treated by a vet but was wondering if anybody has used Zymox Otic and what their experience has been for going forward to prevent recurring ear infections.
