Paw protection

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good brand of dog boots that stay on? With summer coming and living in an apartment with a large area of blacktop I am worried about the hot pavement and would like to get her some boots that will stay on and be comfortable.

I have a friend who takes her doodle hiking all the time where she lives (Denver area) and she said she uses Musher's Secret (a waxy substance) to protect her pup's paws.

We also used Musher's Secret for paw protection in So. California before moving to Hawaii. Couldn't get Jaxson to wear boots at all!
