I just heard today about Rippley's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace, sweet boy.
That is a great idea. We did that with our golden retriever. He also had lymphoma. When we would walk the trail afterward, we felt him with us. My heart breaks for you and your family.
Charlie, he passed April 2002.
Oh, Cindy, I missed this post about Rippley passing! I saw the word "palliative" in your other post and then found the sad news here. I'm so sorry for your loss! I loved how you affectionately referred to him as "Rip"- I thought that was such a sweet name and reminded me of Rip Van Winkle. :-)
Many hugs to you!
I thought of that with his name, too, but didn't want to sound disrespectful! :-) Humor IS so healing, isn't it?
Each day with all of our loved ones (furry and non furry) is such a gift. Being a cancer survivor myself, I am constantly reminded to treasure each and every day. Dogs are good at "living in the moment." People, not so much. I just know that Rip was so thankful for all of the love and care that he got from you!
Cindy, I'm just reading this and I am so very sorry about your sweet Rippley. I am so very sorry. Hugs to you all.
