Glad to see that little Ned finally found the site. Gracie would have been sooooo sad if he were not part of it!!!!

We were vacationing in Ireland when our doodle Bridget was born back here in the US. She's definitely an Irish Doodle!

Darby means Liberty in Gaelic. We named our dood Darby because we got her the 5th of July. I am 3/4 Irish and my husband is half. We're really interested in our Irish heritage and the town where we live has one of the larger St. Patrick's Day parades in Pa. It's so large we've even had former Presidents come and march in it.. (Bill Clinton). So if our Darby isn't Irish by birth, she's Irish by adoption! Also when we decided on Darby we were going back and forth about getting an Irish wolfhound...I'm sure a Irish wolfhound is somewhere in our future.

Well, my Gracie Doodle for sure must be Irish. Her name in Ireland is Granuaile, Grainne or Grania. They are variations of the spelling and mean "Grace of God Abounds". This information came to us straight from a lady in Ireland! Both my husband and my decendents are from Ireland. Our last name is CASEY and our children are Clancy and Megan. There is lots of red hair in our family. My husband, his sister, my aunt and her daughter and two of our three grandsons all have red hair! Knowing all that...how could Gracie NOT be Irish!!!! ha ha

My baby is Bailey, because he is the color of Baileys Irish Cream. Also my husband is from N. Ireland and I am of complete Irish desent!! So I guess that makes our Doodle Irish!

Actually I had made up a list of Irish Girls Names for my dogs, and when it came time to name them....well...I went German on both of them. I am 1/3 Irish, 1/3 German, from my Mom's side and 1/3 Syrian from my Dad's side. Guinness is a very dark Irish beer and my son loves it. I'm not a drinker. We have a very special event in Bethlehem PA the end of September, every year called Celtic Fest, and I try not to miss it if possible. Do you's have any Irish festivals or activites that take place where you live.
