Happy Holidays to all of Brewster's relatives! We will be going to my daughter's for a week. I'm really looking forward to this time to visit with my family. Baggins and Brewster will have fun playing with the kids, and also, dog cousin Bella.
What will you be doing?

What a great first year huh? I appreciate being able to swap stories and watch our dogs grow into much loved family members. Molly spent the morning hiking with her favorite teens, went to the dog park in the afternoon and then cuddled by the fire with her new floppy teddy until bed time.

Hope Tura and Molly both had a great 1st birthday... Lucy went for a ride to a natural doggie boutique and had lots of fun with her peeps. We sang 'Happy Birthday' to her over her nightly sweet potatoes. She seem excited to be turning 1, if that's even possible!

Happy 1st Birthday to Molly and Lucy and Tura. Have fun today. We went to the dog wash and after baths got a birthday brownie for tonight.

It sounds like Brewster has a pretty great life. At two years old I'm hoping that he is just drinking Decaf at starbucks. :]

Happy Birthday to Hudson and Brewster!!
Yesterday was their second birthday. We celebrated by going to visit friends, a trip to the Vets for a weigh in (78.5 pounds)' a trip to the bank, breakfast at Starbucks, to work with me for a bit and cruising downtown with Tracie (dog walker) and her pack.
But the cutesy thing was Brewster meeting me at the door with the tiger that the breeder sent home with him almost two years ago!

Hi everyone. I just know Tura and Dolly are having so much fun together! Our favorite dog park is now closed for the winter. They are putting in a new sprinkler system and new turf. By the end of summer the lawn there was quite worn down in some areas. To Molly these spots were perfect to have drooly wrestling matches with her best friends which left her 100% covered in dust and dirt. We learned to keep a tarp in the back of the SUV for the trip home. She has been hiking several times this fall with my teens. They are able to take her off the lead and she stays close.
We did notice that her coat is coming in thick and wool like. This last grooming session was more difficult. It took alot of extra care for the blade to go thru her coat. Not too many knots however!

Hi Everyone
Busy Busy with 2 puppies!! Tura now 11 months weighs 47.5 lbs and is pretty darn curly although it seems like she has thin hair. She started getting curliier this summer especially down her spine and now we have to brush especially around her neck and near her tail to keep mats away. Dolly is 6 months old and weighs 27.5 lbs. She has long almost straight hair that does not mat (yet!). They have decided they like to get up at 5am everyday and then go back to sleep for awhile. I hope someday to get an entire nights sleep. Walking both at once is nearly impossible. Hopefully when Dolly finishes her obedience training she will do better. Also, Tura and I started agility and she loves it, she gets to run and have me all to herself. Hope you are all well.

Hey, I have a question for you all. Has any of your Ryobi pups gone through the coat change yet? If so, when did it occur? I'm still waiting. With Lucy's curly coat I was so expecting to deal with a constant barrage of mats. So far, she's had only a small one or two near her chin area and they've come out easily enough. I've been quite surprised by the lack of mats, and I don't brush her all that frequently. I do bathe her about once every week or 2 though, and go thoroughly through her coat at that time while drying. Maybe that's what helps keep her mat free. I am curious when this so called coat change will start.

Wow! Molly is catching up! Lucy was 45.7 the week before last.

We're headed off to Cannon Beach for 3 nights today. Wish us luck on the weather!
