Hope Lucy is doing OK. Cute video, she looks like she was groomed, so fluffy. My Tura looks like a ragamuffin.
The dentist recommended kind of a retainer thing they cement in for about 6 weeks...no stuffed toys, no playing with other dogs, no bully sticks( in fact he says never) plus a weekly trip to the dentist (an hour and half away). About $1600. Yikes.

I took this video yesterday to show how much Lucy has grown in the 3+ months we've had her. If you don't remember, or haven't seen the 1st video of her with her stuffed puppy on her 2nd day home with us, here's a link:

Hi all. Lucy is home. Thanks for the well wishes. Everything went well. I thought Lucy would be really out of it and want to sleep, but instead, she's pacing around the house. I did give her a pain med so, hopefully, if its the pain that's got her on her feet and walking incessantly, she'll settle down soon. She has such a pathetic look on her face, its obvious she's not feeling well. However, as soon as we came in the house she went straight for her food dish and ate about half a meal (that's all I gave her). I knew she'd have her appetite. The vet says she'll be feeling well by Friday, but no forced exercise or jumping for about a week. Right now, as I type, Lucy has laid down in the hallway and looks to be sleeping... Good! Oh shoot.. I spoke too soon.. she's up again and pacing.

Jeanne, I hope the Vet dentist can help Tura out. Is there such a thing as doggy braces? Surely they won't pull her adult teeth.

I second the motion for a picture of Molly! Nancy, would you like some help on how to upload pictures here on Doodlekisses? If you have pictures stored on your computer its really easy to do and I'd be happy to help.

Hi Everyone. I have been babysitting my grandkids ( 3 and 6) for 10 days and am exhausted. They were pretty freaked out by the puppy so it was a balancing act keeping them apart or keeping Tura leashed up. But we all survived.
Lucy will be pretty quiet for a few days, don't be afraid to give her the pain meds! Hopefully it will all go great.
Nancy, any chance we will ever see a picture of little Molly, the mud queen? I have a pup who hates to be brushed or bathed so I'm not sure she's related.
I am going to try the Altoid thing as counter cruising as become her newest thing.
We are off to the Vet Dentist today to see what can be done about her teeth as now the adult tooth is poking into the roof of her mouth. Ouch!
I did get the Les Pooch brush by the way but it isn't working the way I hoped. What is working pretty good though is a rotating tines comb I got (brand, Bamboo) The never ending battle against mats!
Anyway, Good luck today Lucy!!!!

Lucy, like Molly, is a good bath taker. In fact, she'll allow me to do just about anything to her as long as she's in the tub! Saturday I trimmed the hair around the pads of her feet while she was still in the tub after her bath (she was sliding all over our hardwood floors from the excess hair). Outside the bath its a real crap shoot as to what she'll allow, although I cleaned out her ears today without too much fuss.

Wednesday Lucy gets spayed. My biggest worry now is how to get her out of the SUV by myself after the procedure. I KNOW how to pick her up, but she'd much rather jump onto my shoulders. I don't know. Tim may have to come home early to assist.

I found a little tooth today while playing tug with one of her balls. Its the holey roller kind of ball and the tooth just fell out onto the floor. We've recently noticed her teeth are looking bigger, although we hadn't seen any signs of teeth falling out until today. Not at all sure how many she's lost.

Molly discovered the joy of digging in the back yard fire pit yesterday. In the pouring rain no less. By the end of bath time the floor of the tub was black and covered by nearly a 1/4 cup of sand. She is a great little bath taker however and was so soft and sweet to cuddle with later!

She was so easy to pick out of the group. I adore her face and soft coat. It makes me feel better that Lucy has an occ obstinate and stubborn moment. [ Willfull and Stubborn are Mollys two favorite friends.] One of the physicians I work for claims that it is best to own dumb dog because an intelligent one will only out think you.

Oh thanks, Nancy... you were able to tell which one she was? The fluffiest one of all of them. Never strolled more than 20ft from our feet.

We had puppy class last night (1 more class left). Lucy was in a 'mood'. Maybe its been the weather, with not getting out as much lately, I don't know, but she was obstinate and stubborn. The trainer would take Lucy, though, and get her to do what she wanted first try. So its definitely a train-the-trainer kind of situation, besides the fact Lucy didn't want to listen.

I stopped in to our vet's office the other day while on our walk and Lucy weighs 33lbs now. I found out the vet uses invisible sutures as well, which will help with keeping Lucy from getting to them. I should have asked if I even need to use a cone on her after her spay.

Hey Nancy, have you used the Altoids tin yet? You cracked me up with your previous post.
