Kristin, I am so sad to hear that your family and Samson are going through this. Samson is Hudson's littermate brother. I can't stop thinking about it and how devastated you must feel. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Please keep us posted.

Angie,I did groom the doods a few weeks ago (2nd time for me with both) and I was really disappointed with how they turned out. I used Laube plastic clipper attachment combs that 2nd time and they just didn't have the same results as the SS Wahl attachment combs. Very choppy looking and really quite an embarrassment. I've been dealing with a health issue this past month so for a treat I'll be taking the dogs to the prof. groomer next time. Happy 5th, Hudson! Lucy just turned 4 last week.

I am so sorry to hear this, Kristin... I can just imagine how devastated you must feel. There really.are no words, just know that my thoughts and prayers are with you, Samson, and your family at this difficult time. Hoping for a miracle that the diagnosis isn't as dire as it sounds.

I haven't been on in awhile but wanted to let you all know that Samson (Benzi from Ryobi/Fonzi Oct 08) was diagnosed with Lymphoma a couple of days ago. We are simply devastated. He has been working as a therapy dog, and touches everyone he meets. He is such a fantastic dog. The oncologist said if we don't do anything he only has 3 weeks. He seemed perfectly healthy earlier this week, he just started feeling bad one day and we took him in and its already moved to all of his lymph nodes. We started him on chemo yesterday, although the oncologist is afraid that his cancer is already progressed too much, based on the way he is responding and in rapid decline. Samson's sister from the 09 pairing of Ryobi/Fonzi has addisons. I do know that there is at least one other dog from that pairing that also has addisons. What rotten luck to have 2 sick dogs, at such a young age (5 and 4).

Yep, you guessed right. Hudson was his original name. We tossed around some other names, but we decided that we liked his original name the best and it really seems to suit him. That last puppy that Sandi has does look like Oscar as a puppy. It is funny how they can all be so different with the same parents. Hudson turned the big 5 this October. I can't believe he is "middle aged" already. :) Have you done any more grooming on Lucy or Oscar? I was so impressed with your job. I wish I could do that well.

Angie.... humm... 'Hudson'? Did you happen to keep Sandi's given name, or is it just coincidence that Hudson is also a name of a car? I agree, Sandi's puppies do have large, expressive eyes. Oscar's eyes aren't as large as Lucy's and we marvel over the fact of how different they are. Oscar is very different from Lucy (both physically and temperamentally), but he's a great complement to Lucy in every way. That last remaining male puppy reminds me so much of Oscar at that age.

Hi Debb! For some reason, I am just seeing this comment from September. Don't know how I missed it. Anyway, Sputnik was from a litter after Hudson. All of Hudson's littermates were named after cars. :) I've been visiting her page and watching the puppies grow and change. I see she has 1 adorable little boy left. I love how her dogs have large, expressive eyes. Lily has sweet brown expressive eyes (they remind me of a gorilla's eyes :), but Hudson's are much larger.

Hey Angie, wasn't Sputnik from Hudson's litter? Sputnik is the mother of the current litter. And Fonzi was Hudson's father, right?

Just wanted to let everyone here know, Sandi has another litter of puppies available. Same father as Oscar, and Lucy's sister from another litter. Not sure who her father is. I think Fonzi.
