Hi Nicole and Teddy. This group, sadly, did not catch on very well. We are in the Savannah area and there are a ton of Doodles around, but most folks are not interested in groups, romps, etc. You might want to start a Charleston group if you are up to it.
Hi there- anyone from the Charleston area in this group?
Elizabeth, hope you find what you are looking for. Reds are rare and just because they may be red as a puppy does not mean they will retain that coloring. Our Guinness was dark chocolate as a puppy and now he is sort of a light cocoa. They tend to lighten as they get out of puppy stage.
Thanks so much!!! No it doesnt have to be a golden doodle but I do hope to get a red one. I have a certain image in my mind of what I hope to look like. I will def check out the breeder you recommended! Thanks so much!!
Welcome Elizabeth. How important is it for your puppy to be a Goldendoodle. Would you consider a mini Labradoodle? If so, we got our Guinness from Mountain Creek Labradoodles near Greenville, SC. Since then they have exclusively started breeding Austrailian Labradoodles and Mini Labradoodles. There is not much difference between a Golden doodle and a Labradoodle. Check out their website: http://www.mountaincreeklabradoodles.com/. They are VERY reputable.
HI everyone! So happy to have found this site! I am looking to buy my first mini golden doodle and I am having a really difficult time finding a good breeder. I thought I had finally found one in Georgia but then I read on a blog that the breeder was actually a puppy mill (NOT GOOD especially when you are paying $2000 plus!) Does anyone have any advice! I am looking to get one under 30LB, that is red and one that is maybe 2nd or 3rd generation and looks a little bit more Golden than poodle (AKA fleece fur and not the super tight poodle curls)
My cousins bought one from a breeder in WI and they are super happy with it but I am not sure if it is cruel making a puppy fly in the cabin with me and also, the don't seem to be a member of goldendoodles etc so not sure how important that is..
