I think as long as they're both coming back for more and one is not avoiding the other, they are fine. I was also nervous when the 60 lb Eloise was playing with teeny 8 lb Beasley. She was overall really gentle with the puppy, but I remember worrying that Eloise would flop down on Beaz while they were "wrestling" (which was soooo tame compared to their wrestling of today, little did I know, lol). So I did separate them occasionally when I thought it was too much, just for my own sanity. I still do the same to this day, only roles are reversed - I'm saving Eloise from the VERY rough-playing Beasley. Eloise is way submissive, and doesn't do a good job of putting crazy in her place when she needs it.
(Oh, but those horrible razor puppy teeth - I did NOT do a good job of protecting Ellie from those, poor thing. She had several cuts under her eyes from Beasley's teeth...meanwhile I didn't ever have one cut on my hands, which was the opposite of my life with Eloise as a puppy. lol)
Beasley was already pretty big here, but this was basically how they lived. I saw teeth constantly, and one's head was always in the other's mouth. Pretty much nothing has changed to this day, except Beasley is full grown. (And now she likes to grab Ellie's ears and yank - at least 10 times a day... :\ )
