Northern VA Area Doodle Group. We schedule monthly Doodle Romps to get our doodles together to play. Winter Romps are going to be held outdoors now at the Beatley Library Dog Park on Duke Street in Alexandria.

Is there a person/family that is willing to take over this group? My family has recently moved out of the area and can no longer manage this group and organize the Doodle Romps... Please contact me if anyone is still interested in keeping this group going -

Parking is at the library parking lot. This is a pretty large fenced in area with plently of trees, benches, grass, and drinking water. The crowd there is pretty regular and are always friendly to newcomers.
This place is easy to find:
Take 395 to Duke Street Exit (EAST)
Continue on Duke Street about 2 1/2 miles and it's on your left right before the Library.

Hi Everyone...I'm going to move the Doodle Romp from tomorrow to next Saturday 1/18. It's a mud mess over at the dogpark this afternoon and I can't imagine it's going to "Dry up" with the rain continuing tonight. I'll change the event notification...sorry for the late notice but given the weather, I think it's for the best.

I am excited to bring my doodle Woody to his first romp! He will be 9 months in a few days and has not met many other doodles yet.

Hi Anne... Just changed the Romp to be on Sunday...Good call. I hadn't checked the weather forecast out that far but looks like 90% chance of rain. I edited the event to be Sunday at the same time! Hope to see you and our Doodle Friends!

Concerning this weekend's scheduled romp... I know Saturday is still a ways away, and nice temps are predicted but they are also calling for substantial rain. Do the brave show up in this weather or is the romp pushed back to Sunday? I would like to bring my little guy but I'm not the most excited about rainy weather play. Thanks.

Welcome to the group Rachel! I just posted some upcoming romps for 2014...We have been so busy and lost our "Co-Group Sponser" as they moved overseas this fall...if anyone wants to help with this group (organizing events and such), I'm happy to take on the help!
