We could make our own Doodle Romp for those in the Fairfax, Vienna, Chantilly, Centreville (me) area. We could meet at a dog park locally. I'd love to do it but don't want to go to Alexandria. Anyone in?

Hi Celeste!  Welcome to the group.  In the early fall I set up Doodle Romps for Fall/Winter/Spring...but the summer months my family has a very busy weekend schedule... I can set up one for May... Would be the first Saturday of the Month...May 4th.  from 9-11am

Parking is at the library parking lot.  This is a pretty large fenced in area with plently of trees, benches, grass, and drinking water.  The crowd there is pretty regular and are always friendly to newcomers.

This place is easy to find:

Take 395 to Duke Street Exit (EAST)

Continue on Duke Street about 2 1/2 miles and it's on your left right before the Library.

First,a heartfelt thanks to a lovely lady who stopped me at the Epilepsy Walk in DC yesterday to suggest Enzo and I join this group!  What are the upcoming doodle romp dates and locations?  I live in North Arlington and would love to have Enzo join in the fun.  Also looking for a local groomer that understands wooly doodles!

I live in Alexandria and I'm looking for a dog walker. Does anyone have some recommendations? I'm hoping to find one person who will visit my dog daily and not a company with many different employees who will come to my house. If you have any suggestions direct message me, please! :)

We would love to have been able to join on 2/24 but have plans for that weekend already... and for Carla... There's a large group of doodles (like more than 100 members) that meet up in Annapolis, MD each month.  I can get you to romp coordinators contact info (she's not on DK) if you are interested.. They typically have a good turnout of 25 or more doodles for each romp...in the spring sometimes they have 50...  NOVA Doodles this winter hasn't had a great turnout since it's been so cold...but you are welcome to join us this spring as well in Alexandria, VA. - Andrea

No worries Carla! Happy to hear you're coming. Olde Towne Pet Resort asks that you provide a copy of your doodles rabies vaccination when you arrive. If you prefer to have it faxed over from the vet, that is fine also. Their fax number: 703-455-1799. See you on the 24th! I'm still getting RSVP's but I would LOVE to meet other DK's myself too! Come on out ya'll.....

Anyone going the the Doodle Day's event in Newington, VA that Cathy Bennett has sent the messages about? Never been to the area, and we've been looking for a big doodle romp to visit for awhile, nobody in PA ever seems to get together... Would love to meet you guys!
