Welcome Lois and Bill. My Lucy really doesn't like the water either. When she was a pup she was running around, we have a pond, and she ran right into the pond without knowing it was water and it scared her to death so now unfortunately she doesn't like the water. She will get her feet wet and that is about it. We are going to have a doodle romp here on the western part of the state, but there is another one coming together for the central part, so keep watching for postings about it. We would love to meet you at either or both romps. Enjoy doodlekisses !!!

Hi all, I've had trouble finding this page. We are in Central Pa and are the owners of Buster. Buster was 1 Y.O. in January and is such fun to have. Never meets a stranger; knows that they came just to visit her! We have been in FL for the past 2 months where Buster enjoyed the beach - but not the water.

Hi Amy and all, I am looking into putting together a Romp for Eastern Pa with all invited also, just having a hard time coming up with a great place to host it at and where we would have either indoor and outdoor facilities, along with fenced areas so pups can play, I should have more information coming soon this weekend I hope. I am trying to check out at least 5 different places that I can think of, and one already said No due to insurance and kennel issues. One other place I know of we could do it at a public doggy park, but than we are subject to others with their dogs, not just Doodles? Will let all know...ASAP

I am up for one in Manheim again. Anyone else interested in Manheim?

HI, Bonnie and everyone, The park looks really nice!! I am looking forward to it.
As far as the vaccination requirement is concern, it seems that is standard at any location.( I looked into few other places, and their requirements were the same) Thanks for checking out the place!! I can't wait to meet you all!!

Erin,
All you would need to bring are something from the vet stating when they were given. I think once a year. They have an application form on the site that you can download and fill out and bring with you the day you go.

Edinboro? I'm there. Just let me know when.
Fecal test and vaccinations? She had them a couple months ago when she had to go to a kennel for a few days? Does that count?

Karen and Lucy - and anyone else interested in a doodle romp.
I checked out the Howlabaloo Dog Park in Edinboro and would be great for a romp. This is on a former golf course. There are multiple fenced areas with multiple small ponds and creeks. A main building where you come in to register and where they hold meetings, also has indoor restrooms, coffee and drinks. They said that they would be willing to let us use the space with the larger shelter if that is what we would like. That area also has a large pond. I guess our next step is to see what kind of interest we have in having a romp there.
If we can't get enough interested to do a romp, I would still be willing to get together there with anyone else who is interested. The people there are very nice.
Oh - I couldn'[t actually take my dog out in the park because they require something from the vet for a neg fecal test and Kennel cough vaccination, which we don't have. Also, regular vaccinations. We have set up an appt. to get these done, but I don't know if these regulations might make some people unwilling to attend.

Karen I totally agree and would love to be able to particpate in all of them, however right now due to problems with my car, finances, and not to mention Health problems it really is impossible to accomplish. We also have some other Doggy Doodle issues going on right now (Hannah is in agility, and Honey is in the driving me nut stages of training), so it just is a bit much to try and travel any distance. I would be more than willing to try and set up a romp here in Eastern Pa, if I have some help and you could email me at animail0@yahoo.com, your cell #, I would gladly contact you concerning how to set this up.
