What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
* I have a 4 years old Chocolate F1b female named Charlie.
* I also have 10 months old Cream & Apricot parti male standard poodle named.Pinot Grigio. He came to us at age of 5 months old. :-)
* My beloved16 1/2 years old male cream color Chow Chow, named Butter. He is in very good shape for his age, except for occasional leg aches.
( Snow in Pittsburgh does not help!) ---- he passed away on August 31st 2011. but he is stil a part of family. I am not yet readu to take off his birthday ticker from my page....

* 3 Turtles! They used to be the size of quarters, but now they are about
the size of my hands!!
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder, Rehome
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I saw one at the dog park, and thought she was sooo beautiful!!
Also for their temperment and intelligence.
And the fact they are little to non-shedding. We have fur everywhere, no matter how much we clean from our Chow Chow. So, this is a big plus for me!
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
I go to Monroeville PetSmart.
Relationship Status:
Single

Hello, all!! I have not been here for over a year!! I joined DK over 7 years ago when I first began looking for a doodle. Through the support and education I received here, we welcomed our F1b Labradoodle Charlie girl February of 2009. Charlie turned out to be a bit different girl who educated me through her intuitive and eccentric life. DK community was there to…

Homeless summit + news article + NPR = Community Angel Tree project

Posted on December 18, 2013 at 10:00pm 6 Comments

We had this huge summit in November to discuss about suburban poverty and homelessness here in Pittsburgh. Local major news paper wrote the article, and NPR had segment in regard to this summit.

A group of local YMCA staff read this article and listen to the NPR, and was absolutely shocked to know the numbers of homeless families we have in our school district.…

I wrote a blog sometime ago ( I guess in June ) in regard to students who graduated despite of significant difficulties they faced from my school district. One of them recently received resiliency award here in Pittsburgh, also recieved National Scholarship for students experiencing homelessness. There were 15 students nation wide…

Actually there are not many cars around here, and they all know us and our dogs.  It is a dead end street.  But, the busy highway is just down the road from us.

Two of my favorites are Doodlemania and Northern Doodles. Also Dog Euphoria. They are mostly people in other countries,( England, Australia) so they are up at different hours from us but they are very nice and will vote. You have to join the groups first and sometimes that takes a while (few hours) to be accepted. I will send you a PM with the rest if you accept my friend request. :-)

I have entered a few contests and so therefore have joined many Doodle FB groups. They are VERY helpful with voting. I can give you a list of groups if you are interested. Also could you please vote for my photo in a contest?

Please click the link and then "like" the page before you "like" Daphne & Lucy's picture please. Otherwise your "like" doesn't count. Theirs is the "Wizard of Oz" picture in the 4th row.

Oh, I just realized I can post it here. I tried to bring up a little more detail in Pinot, without destroying the soft light you captured.  Anyhow, hope you like it. I'm not as good as Camilla, Joanne or DJ but this was fun.

Cool and rainy?  I can imagine the rainy, but cool?  It has been the opposite here, that is it has been dry, but also cool which is our normal summer.  Now it is time for our "real" summer.  September and October are usually the warmest months here on the central coast.  Yippee!  Finally summer.  Enjoy your "back to school" days.   It's a new year and new adventures.  I am enjoying "back to school" especially since I don't need to set up a classroom this year - just go and enjoy the swimming pool, the weight room and the computer class.  Life is good.
