Toby is doing well -11 weeks old. We are really, really working on nipping, and the thing that seems to be working best is the shaker can - today anyway. Now....the jumping. He jumps on us, up at the counter, at the door to go out, etc. What works on jumping up? Anything? So far, other that gently pushing him down and saying No..Down, we are stuck.
Other than that, we are starting obedience classes on Nov. 7. It is with McCann Professional Dog Trainers. The Head Start Puppy Classes are for four weeks, and an hour and a half each. He will learn, theoretically, "not to bite the family, come even when distracted, ask to go outside to relieve himself, not to chew our things, play games that last a lifetime, not to be possessive of his toy or food bowl, and to accept discipline from family members." I hope he is as intelligent as I think he is!
