I totally understand what you are saying! We had this adorable little puppy and she was what we thought was the "perfect" dog and then all of a sudden around six months we thought we had a different pup in the house! She turned into a major "chewer" and she stopped at nothing! Furniture, her bed, magazines, and absolutely anything she could get her paws on. She was in training and the trainer told us to use the "leave it command", get her toys to chew on (she didn't want to chew on those), put her in her crate for time outs and keep on with all her training. It was very hectic at times and our furniture and yard took a major hit, but all of a sudden one day we looked at each other and said, "wow, she has grown up" and believe me, it happened just like that! All the chewing on the wrong things had ended and she was our "perfect" puppy, well maybe I should not go that far, but we love her and she is a very good girl now! Hang in there, things will change, this is a stage!
Sounds like your dog has entered the "teenage rebellion" phase ;) Lasts for a few months (usually until just over a year), don't worry it will pass! Just keep consistent with your training and it will be fine. Besides, some of the mischief is good for a laugh :)
Luna managed to find a mud puddle in the middle of Winter when she was 7 months old...
Yes! I have a six month old puppy, and he has been great (and still is great). But I have noticed he doesn't listen to me like he used to -- I think he is testing me. Fun! :)
