9 week old goldendoodle bald strip on back

My 9 week old goldendoodle started shedding heavily about a week ago and now has a bald strip from his tail to about his mid back. I read that goldendoodle puppies shed their puppy hair but is a bald strip normal? Thanks!

Mine are 9 weeks tomorrow and have not lost any hair, From what I have read their coats change by the time they are 1 year , I would have him checked out at the vet  even if he is was shedding I don't think he would have a bald strip.

9 week old puppies do not shed their puppy coats this early. Even if shedding, there should be no bald spots. Is he chewing or does it look irritated ? Could be allergy related.

I believe they don't lose their coat until they are 8 months old. My puppy is 13 weeks and no shedding has occured. I would call your breeder and the vet

He should NOT be bald.  Do you mean that you see skin and there is NO hair?  Can you post a picture?

They have left dk.  I tried to access K Clark's page and there is NO MEMBER, so was the whole thing a hoax?  Was K, embarrassed because they didn't know dogs don't shed down to the skin?  No idea, and I guess we will never know.
