Are these common behaviors?

three things my 7 month old puppy does, just wonder if they are typical. My first dog since I was a kid and just surprised at these behaviors.

1) stretches like crazy, especially after being crated, both front and back legs, arches back like a cat, stretches out each leg separately. His crate is plenty big enough, do all dogs do this?

2) sneezes every morning when he gets up - occasionally other times but always sneezes in the morning.

3) great, now I forgot the third thing! Well, I know that is typical behavior for my age, so when I remember (probably in the middle of the night) I'll add it.

1) Stretching is fairly normal for my doodle. She stretched her front paws out in front of her and pushes all her weight back on her hips which are up and out. It's adorable.

2) The sneezing part is funny! My doodle sneezes 3 times every day when I get home from work... I figure it's because she's excited to see me! LOL :) I think it's so cute.

Beth, that's really cute! :0). Finley stretches a lot too but has never sneezed.

That is exactly what my baby does !! stretch for sure... she is such a good crate sleeper .... and sneezes...not in the morning but on occasion ... I will be waiting for the 3rd one ! :)

Stretching, common, at least in every dog I have owned.( All Primarily all Goldens). We laugh at Enzo, who is just 4 months...those long legs.....very giraffe like at this stage. She stretches one at a time!
Sneezing...only time Enzo sneezes is when I use hand sanitizer or hand creme. But I am sure it is not a rare behavior.

Haa! Sawyer gets hiccups all the time! Either from eating too fast or when he's excited...

Griffin is 8 months and still hiccups too :-)

And has loud burps lol!

my doodle does the stretching thing. he is so funny to watch.. all legs as far as he can, only he is in his side. at 5 months you would think he was 5 years. he sneezes in the morning while he it's running his face in his blanket. the vet told me it was because of the weather changes and that puppies are sensitive to that. your little ones behavior sounds normal.

Bentley is 5 months old and has been stretching like that since we got him.  Whenever he wakes up, even if he's been sleeping on the floor.  No matter how long he's slept for, he stretches and rolls around for like 10 minutes before he wants to go out and pee!  No sneezing though...

Yes, I agree with the stretching thing. Our 6 month old has also always stretched, and in fact won't use the potty in the am until he has stretched and belly rubbed by human person.  We just thought it was his 'prince' personality as this is our first dog too. I even help him stretch out and in the evenings after brushing, we go thru some stretches before crate time. We too have a large crate (42" long) and Teddy will stretch out in there even with one foot propped up on side of crate.

 

Sneeze: nope, ours only occasionally sneezes.
