Bad Puppy!

We always keep a really close eye on Dyson so that he doesn't get at and chew any of our stuff. Well, last night he escaped out of his enclosure, jumped up onto the dresser, and got at my husband's eyeglasses. He was probably alone with them for 5 minutes and they are totally ruined :( Even the $500 lenses in them are all scratched up! Of all the things available to him in our room (socks, blankets, slippers, etc) he had to choose the most expensive thing in there. Needless to say the husband was NOT happy. And bad puppy had to sleep in his kennel rather than his blanket beside the bed. What's the worst thing your puppy has chewed?? (I need something so I can tell the husband, "well so and so's puppy chewed up ______, so it's not that bad!"). I just really can't believe he picked the glasses to chew....bad bad puppy!

I live by a lake and our town stocks the lake with fish....I pulled a petrified catfish head out of my puppies mouth the other day :( I thought it was a log....I should have known better because he was SO interested in it!

I have an electric mouse trap in my kitchen. Once the mouse goes in they get zapped and die instantly. (Much more humane then the glue boards.) The other night Bear came running into the living room with something in his mouth. It was the lid to the trap. (None of my dogs have ever been interested in it before.) I took it from him and went to put it back when I found a mouse in the trap. EWW. Meanwhile Bear is licking my leg. EWW.

Now he's on a mission to find more mice. I have a mouse hunting GoldenDoodle. I pray he doesn't find any more. I don't want to clean up that mess.

Oh those naughty puppies! I actually heard a good one from a co-worker. She was puppy sitting a lab and locked him in the bathroom while she went out for the afternoon. Well, she came home to her entire main floor flooded; puppy had chewed through the toilet pipe :O There was even water leaking into the basement. So that was a huge mess! Dyson hadn't destroyed anything since the eye glasses incident until last night...he chewed a hole in our bedroom wall :S When he was supposed to be sleeping. There had been a tiny hole from a screw that used to be there, and apparently that caught his attention and that was the end of it. Soooo, back to the kennel for bedtime! Oh yeah, he's discovered baseboards now too, has chewed up one corner pretty good, I need to get some of that bitter apple spray!

I once had a Saint Bernard that chewed up a whole bookshelve of books, including a rare Cupie doll book, as well as scapbooking albums and paper - and - she chewed a hole in the wall from the outside to the inside.
And a naughty Standard Poodle that took baby diapers from the trash and ate them. It depended how fast I caught her whether I pulled it from her mouth or her butt. Not a pretty picture either way. Oh yeah, she also ate the windowseal in our dining room and one time she ate her way through a louvered door.
So far with Willy, nothing to write about, unless I mention the new berber rug that got caught in his teeth and unraveled as he tried to run away with it.
