Our Caspian is 10 weeks old and just chewed through the leather leash we bought. He is leashed pretty much all the time, unless he is in his crate or is having a romp in our yard. Any recommendations for a good sturdy leash that won't be easy to chew in half?

Not sure the best sturdy leash - we opted for cheap leashes until we got the chewing situation under control.

Charlie came home from the breeder with a small Lupine puppy collar that was 1/2 in wide.  Our first vet visit, I noticed the clinic carried Lupine leashes.  I bought a 3/4 in Lupine leash - they are guaranteed for lifetime against a chewing puppy.  Charlie has never chewed on a leash, but Beau just loves to grab the leash as you are going out the door - and over time it eventually will start trashing the leash.  Between puppy & 3 yrs old, Beau went through 4 leashes. Usually I just trade out at vet (and there is no charge). The last time I had to replace - I emailed Lupine online - they requested I send a photo of leash - which I did and they sent a new leash.  It took about a week for the new leash to arrive.  No hassles whatsoever!  Beau has finally got the message, no more chewing on leashes!!

I'm not sure of the brand but it's a 3/4 inch heavy nylon. I just spray it with apple bitter and it seems to keep Winston from chewing on it too much.

Yes, the Lupine brand is fantastic! It's true they are guaranteed. My sweet Eli is a heavy chewer and has chewed through three and they have replaced them ASAP every time. You just go to their website and fill out a form and include a picture of the chewed one. A new one is in the mail within a few days. Awesome company! The sprays never deterred my Eli. I even ordered my lupine items at amazon and they still guarantee them.

Chain leash for now -chew-proof.
