Lucca loves cat poo. I have a domed lid on the litter box but he still sticks his head in. I try to keep the poo scooped but I'm not quick enough all the time. He also has sniffed out where there is poo buried outside. Any suggestions other than dog-proofing. The entire house and yard is Lucca-proofed.

nothing like kitty box crunchies :)
I think it is super gross too - we have a baby gate up across the doorway of our 3rd bedroom/office and it's the "cat only" zone - their litterboxes are in there as well so they can have some dog-free private time. I have to say I'm happy the dogs scarcely have the opportunity to get to the cat litter unless the gate falls down.
Now, if only I could do something about the dogs thinking cat puke is a delicacy.......uuuuugggghhhh......
YUK!!!!!
Same problem with both our dogs - but we have no cats of our own. They just cannot resist a kitty "almond roca". The vet said this is nothing unusual, most dogs like to interact with kitty friends this way. The neighborhood cats seem to taunt the dogs by sitting and looking at them through the windows, and the dogs immediately go to the flower garden and wood storage area to seek out their little "treats" whenever they have access to those areas. When we are out on the trails hiking they gobble up the bobcat and puma trail markers but do not touch the coyote poop. Something about the smell of the "kitty poop" that they love. No idea how to control that. And I even cook great food for our dogs, but they still can't resist cat poo.
Yeah, Lucca manages to find it no matter where we go. He has radar and zones right in. They say that cat poo is full of protein, that's why they like it!!!
