I'm looking for a comfortable harness for my 6 month old dood to wear. I have looked into the RuffWear Front Range Harness, I was wondering if anyone has anything to say about it. I am open to anything. I want something that is comfy, helps with walking and has a front and back connection so I can use it for walking and car rides.

Thanks! :)

I want to get a new harness for Bentley.  He can get out of the one I have.  Following

The Easy Walk harness is what we use. It was recommended by our trainer and works great to prevent pulling. We use the Sleepypod Click It Sport for the car. It is the best! One of the only ones actually safety tested.

The easy walk harness is what Bentley can get out of if I pull and he resists.  I can't make it any tighter on him and can't go a size down.  He's 3 1/2

Our foster got out of the Easy Walk quite easily also.

We use a combination of the Ruffwear Front harness for the park/playing and car rides, and the Sense-sation harness for walks. The Ruffwear Front harness is awesome - constructed well - though pricey at $40 and the front connection doesn't work that well on our Mollie for walking as she has a slender neck so very loose and sloppy on corrections, and attached to the back just encourages her to pull. We attach a long leash to the back whenever she is playing. When Mollie was younger we used the Easy Walk harness which she walked well in however found it chafed under her front legs - she jumps when excited by people or other dogs (something we are working on as an aside). Thought we would try something new so found the Sense-sation harness which is like the Easy Walk but with softer material for under the front legs (the Soft Touch harness which is by the same company is the equivalent of the Easy Walk harness). It comes with very specific instructions on how to use and fit (which is awesome. Easy Walk has instructions but not as thorough as this imo), priced at $20ish and we feel it is much easier to put on Mollie - 1 buckle versus the 2 for Easy Walk. You can also attach the front loop and collar ring together on the leash but haven't done. Haven't experienced any chafing so far so good sign! Mollie is 6 months too.

Keep us posted on what you end purchasing for your dood! The 2 harnesses are working for us but wish we could find "the one". :)

The harness our trainer recommended when Bailey was at her puppy class is the Sporn - Training Halter.  We have used this type of harness for 7 years now.  I highly recommend it.  Over the years we have had many people ask about our harness.  It stops pulling without choking.  It is well made - I think I have only replaced it once in 7 years.  Love it!

I love the Sense-sation soft touch- It made such a difference when walking Finn.  I clip the harness and collar together ( a leash with a bigger clasp is helpful) and my 64 lb boy walks so nicely!!

I think there are plusses and minuses to the two harnesses I've tried.  My pup is a 9 mo old mini, now about 17 pounds.  I first got the Walk-in-Sync harness (pricey at $60) .  I like its design (no underarm rubbing, and simpler to put on.)  However, Echo likes to chew his harnesses, and the straps are not very heavy duty.

Then I got a Freedom No-Pull Dog harness (~$40 on amazon).  Its a real struggle to put on. Its hits Echo's armpits, and the martindale (spelling) closure on the back makes me concerned about its comfort.  Its probably well built though.

Neither harness really stays put on Echo though; when she pulls the harness goes with her.  Someone told me the no-pull harnesses don't work very well with smaller dogs.  But I'm sure that either harness is more comfortable for her  than choking with a neck collar.

So I'm in the process of replacing the straps of the Walk-in-Sync (buying straps used in mountain climbing), but using the Walk-in-Sync hardware.   I'll see how this does. Hope this helps.

Has anyone have thoughts on sensible harness. My trainer suggested because of easy on and off and gentle leading
