Bexter is absolutely wonderful for me all day long.  He never has accidents and is actually starting to nip less.  He is learning how to sit & shake his paw...However, whenever I leave the house to go to the grocery store or just out for a jog for an hour & leave my husband in charge, there is always a problem.  Every single time in the last two weeks I have left for 1-2 hours & my husband has been in charge, Bexter either pees on the floor or poops.  Whenever Bexter nips at him, I have noticed my husband screams at him.  He hasn't done all the research like I have to know how to train him.  I am no expert, but I have been reading about all this for a year before getting Bexter.  Could it be that Bexter is scared of him?  Or maybe he is just not as attentive as I am to Bexter.  Any advice?

Hi Tracy,

Any chance you could get your husband to do some reading too?  It may help him to realize that yelling at Bexter is not an effective way to train him or connect with him.  Bexter may very well be scared of him.  Maybe if your husband gets some insight as to how to "speak" a dogs language, he'll be happier and Bexter will be too!  Best of luck to you and keep us posted.  We all want happy people and happy pups here!!
