How Big Will She be?

Saw another post like this & I am really curious as to the guesses for Trixie too.

 

at 7.5 Weeks she weighted 10# at 8.5 she was 11.1#

 

Her Dad is an English Golden Retriever 80#.  Mom is a Standard Poopdle 40#

My Vet said he thought shed be more Moms Size as her paws arent that big.

 

I was Guessing 50-60#

 

What do you all think? : )

I would be surprised if she will only weigh 40 pounds.  I think 50-60 pounds is definitely more likely.  My pup weighs about a pound for each week old she is (at 8 weeks she was 8 pounds, etc.) and she's supposed to be 35-40 pounds.

You  just can't tell. When you're dealing with mixed breeds you can't predict whose genes will dominate in any particular area. We have two girls with the same father---a 35# poodle---and different mothers with the same stats. They were both English Cream Retrievers weighing in at around 75#s. As a matter of fact they're from the same bloodline several generations back.

Our first girl has very strong poodle traits in size, appearance and behavior. She's 35 #s. The 2nd has much more dominant retriever traits---including some shedding---and weights 70 #s. She has a boxier head, fuller body, not quite as smart as the smaller one with poodle dominant traits.

When you have that mixed gene soup going on, you can't be sure exactly what flavor you'll get.
