Mouthing with the adult teeth

Toby has all his adult teeth in now. We were just about past the "mouthing" stage, and now that the adult teeth are in, he seems to want to try them out as well. Nothing that leaves a mark, just holding a hand or finger in his mouth. Obviously it's a habit I want to break though. Is it normal for a dog to start up a little once the adult teeth come in?
