My little girl is 6 months old and is need of prayers. She got in to my trash when I left the room when gathering all the trash in the house. She started getting very sick the next day and vomiting. By the time we figured out what had happened, it was almost too late and may still be. The vet found 2 tampons that passed her stomach into her small intestine. She had a blockage. The tampons somehow got tied inside of her. They got them out, but things still didn't look that good inside of her when they closed her back up. She had surgury yesterday(Tues) and is in seroius condition. Day 3-5 will be the days that if something is going to happen it will.
A special thanks to all those prayer warriors who helped us get Macy through to today. She is doing great and acting very much like her old self. I would like to think we are out of the dark at this point. I can''t thank everyone enough for keeping us in their prayers and thoughts.. I know it's what got her through this time. You are a great group of people and God is sooooo good. If it wasn't for him, Macy wouldn't be with us now.
Praying for Macy and for you! I'm so sorry.....Now I know just HOW careful I need to be when the new puppy arrives. I think I'll get a trash receptacle that's bolted. God, please heal Macy and give peace to Nikki....amen.
I'm so glad to read all these messages and that Macy is doing OK. I've been gone for five days and I so appreciate this group. Your very, very, close call has helped all of us puppy parents learn of more things to watch for. My Maizy is five months old and it could so happen to her. All the best as Macy recovers.
Thank goodness she is home and doing so well. She'll keep getting stronger and stronger now that she's home and in her comfort zone. We'll keep the prayers going.
