New game to wear Monty Moose out!

Finally....the weather here in Knoxville has turned warm!  With temps in the low 80's today for the first time this year, I was looking for a way to wear Monty down without going out of the fenced area and playing "tennie ball".  Way too much goose poop down by the creek and he just had a bath.  We all know where THAT would lead!.  However, while watering a few plants out by our pool area, I discovered that Monty is absolutely in love with the hose!  So, I put the nozzle on the "solid stream" setting and away he went....running from side to side chasing the water stream wherever I put it..just like a laser beam.  Meanwhile biting at the water and doing so in such a gleeful manner that had me hysterical.  This boy was having a blast!  This game went on for at least 25 minutes and at which time he was totally pooped ....and he had worn down his nails as well.  :)  He has not shown an interest in getting in the pool yet, so this will have to be his exercise for awhile...at least until the geese leave.  Right now he is laying in the shade on the porch drying off with his sister, Mackenzie and they are both out like lights!  Ahhhh.....peace in the kingdom...at least for awhile!

Anyone else's Doodles do this?  Any other suggestions on other games to wear him out?

Well...from one Monty to another.....HI!  I agree on the "great name" part!  :)  Your Monty is beautiful and so is Auggie!  I love that color.  Actually my Monty is turning 7 months old tomorrow, but he is still a big boy and getting bigger each passing day.  Hope the warm weather reaches you soon so that Monty and Auggie can enjoy it.

I don't have any ideas, as my pup won't be here til May, but the water idea is a good one!! And I am so excited to have the warm weather!!

Hi Neighbor!  Good to see someone else from the same neck of the woods on here!  I know that May can't come fast enough for you.  Is that the birth date or when you will be getting him/her?  Been thinking of names yet??  We also have property and a dock on Norris, so we are looking forward to introducing Monty to "his" lake.

May will be here before I know it!!  That is the day we get to bring him home!!  My husband and I don't have any children, so this is like our first baby...to the amusement of all!!

I get to go have a play date with the pup Saturday (he will be 5 weeks old). Of course, I have told the breeder that temperament is very key for us...but she did a hair genetic test and there is only one boy that is going to have doodly hair, so if I like him...then he is mine.  It will be hard to say no I am sure!!

we have a list of names...and trying to purchase all the 'stuff' is sometimes stressful.  We have an African Grey parrot that is not too excited to see the doggie things in the house. We should all be in therapy by the end of May! lol
