- I have been doing Golden Rescue since 1996, but have recently fallen in love with a Golden Doodle....who now resides with my husband and I. We are newbies with the Doods....so I am here to learn all I can. Monty Moose has been with us since January 5th, 2013 and we can't imagine life without the big goof!

- Fell in love with the personality and shaggy look to the hair! We have had Golden Retrievers for many years and were looking for something a little different this time....yet not too different.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- We are finding that Monty loves water, so any kind of water activities.
He also loves his walks and car rides. Of course, cuddling is my favorite thing to do with Monty! He is a real love and quite a Momma's boy!

Wow...Monty is sooo cute! Thank you for your message to me. I checked the Atlanta area rescues online after I read it, and right now they don't have any, but I will try everyday to see. Also, I just got home from visiting my local shelters here in Knoxville. They were very helpful there and I told them my story. They said to check back at least three times a week. They also said 30% of their dogs that come in are popular purebreds. Hopefully we will be able to find a sweet puppy soon!
Hey Debi, I apologize if my comment about the name Mousse/Moose offended you. It wasn't my intend to diss the name Moose. I was just trying to illustrate to Adrienne that when the name is heard it is not usually associated with Mousse. Unless you are in a restaurant of course! LOL So please accept my sincerely apology if I hurt your or your beautiful boy's feelings!
The canine therapist told me that when I brought a tennis ball to the pool for him to fetch. She told me they had plenty of toys, but not to use a tennis ball because they wore down the teeth. She said lots of people use them in those chuck-a-ball things but that they were not good for the dogs. Her specialty so I believe her. Other people have said the same thing.
Just a warning, but watch the tennis balls. Apparently they wear down the teeth.
We are dealing with all the puppy issues that I had forgotten about. Our last 3 dogs were all rescues so I have not dealt with this puppy stuff in a long time.
