I have a 4 month old puppy who gets me up 2x at night to go potty. I get her up take her straight out and put her back in her kennel. No play at all. How old was your puppy when he started sleeping thru the entire night?

Does a snuggle puppy help with this?
I'm wondering if it's seperation anxiety. Last night I brought her crate in by bedroom so she could sleep next to my bed. I heard her stirring a couple of times but she never needed me to take her out all night. She went from 10pm-5:30am, when I get up for work. I hope that will take care of the problem. Macy has put a bunch of weight on all of a sudden and now she is 20lbs. So maybe her getting bigger may have something to do with it also.
Wow that is great. I know you slept better last night not having to get up. All of a sudden Angel just stopped asking to go out at night. Maybe this will be the turning point for you.
Charlie started to sleep throught the night until 6 am or so around 9 ~ 10 weeks. She is now 15 weeks, and can sleep thought until 8 am or so. Her crate is in my room, and until a couple of weeks ago, she used to wake me up when my alarm went off ( No Snooze!) But now, she waits and continue to lay down until I actually get out of bed aroung 7:30.
Once I get up, the first thing I do is to take her outside. In my PJ, before I go to the bathroom!!
That's what I'm hoping. She slept thru the night again last night. She even let me sleep in this morning. I think she just wanted to close to me. I'm so happy. Now, if I could just get her to stop going in her kennel when I'm at work.
I'm glad you had a nice sleep last night! Macy just wanted her mom!!
One of the books I read said that if you are gone for more than 4hours, give your puppy a little area where she can play/sleep with puppy pad in it, like gated area, or kitchen or something, because they cannot hold it that long in a crate. This way the area will give the puppy some sort of separation between sleep & play section and potty section within that gated area. I never tried this because luckly I work 5 minutes from my house, and I come home for lunch.... I hope things work out for you~
We were very lucky in this area because our puppy was sleeping through the night (10 pm to 7 am) by 8 weeks old (we only had two nights where he needed to be taken out once during the night to potty). By 12 weeks old he was sleeping from 10 pm until 9 am and letting us sleep in! He would let us sleep even longer; he doesn't get us up, we usually have to wake him up by 7 am because we have to go to work. And we've never had an accident in his crate. This is one area I feel we've been very lucky.
Ive only had my doodle 2 days, but he is 10weeks old and already sleeps right through. I honestly was not expecting him to do that, but when i wake him to go to the toilet, he just thinks its play time, and doesnt go to the toilet. He sleeps from around 10pm - 5:30am without accidents.

Ive probaby jinxed myself now!
