I'm at a loss at the moment and I don't know what's going on with my pup. She started having very loose bm's on Sunday afternoon but she was full of pep like normal. Monday I came home to find she had pooped in her crate and it was everywhere and loose. That was a first. She was still full of energy running around at the doggy park. I started her on plain rice with some plain yogurt or cottage cheese on Tuesday, hoping she could go right back on kibble after her tummy settled. Well, she hasn't been getting any better. Today she vomited, but hasn't had any loose bm's as the rice is helping with that.

Soon I'm leaving on a business trip for 16 days and while she'll be with my husband, I will still worry that he's not noticing everything I would. I was hoping she's going to recover before I leave.

We haven't altered her diet in any way for a couple weeks. She has been eating the same thing as before, kibble and Nu-Vet supplements. I did open a new bag of Canidae recently. Around the time the loose bm's started, but it was the same flavour as before. Since she didn't start vomiting til she already started the rice, I'm thinking it's not the food.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

She could have a bug (giardia or something else) causing the runs. That would have to be diagnosed by a vet. I would definitely take her in.
could she have eaten something she shouldn't have? My dogs got the same symptoms a few times after de-stuffing toys and once from eating deer poop
Be safe and take her to the vet. Let them check her out. Take a stool sample. They can look at it under the microscope right away and see if it is giardia or some other kind of parasite.
My vet here in NJ sends out to lab but the vet I use in Florida checked it out right there in the office.
I would take her to the vet, if I were you, too.... It's been 5 days....plus she is still a baby, yet. It's better to be safe than sorry... Also I think it will give you a peace of mind while you are on the bussiness trip.
I would definitely go to the vet, and I HEAR yo about your DH not noticing everything YOU would... did you try some pureed pumpkin? That usually works wonders with tori. Get the plain - no sugar added. Tori had this problem a few times when she ate something she shouldn't have... Good luck! I hope she is ok!
As suggested already, take her in with a stool sample. My two had coccidia at one point and then giardia. They are a year old and have colitis and we have to make their food. I'm jumping ahead - yes, take her to vet.
Hi! How is Daisy? Hope she is feeling better!
