Looks like we lost the weight up-date discussion some how.
I enjoyed checking into it every now and then, so I decided to make a vol. 2.
Charlie was 13.7lb @ 10 1/2 wks, 19.7lb @ 15wks, 22.3 lb @ 16 wks, 30lb @ 23 wks, and now 35lb @ 27 wks.
Winston was 15 pounds at 8 weeks, one big boy. He was 62 at 9 months, which he seemed to hold until a year. He was 72 at 12 months and 16 months 78 pounds. He is 19 months now, but I haven't had him on the scale for over six weeks. The breeder thought for sure he would be close to 100 when mature, I'm not sure that is going to happen. he is tall and actually looks like he might weigh more than he does. In the eighty range is fine with me, and it will be healthier for him.
Zoe is an F2 Labradoodle.
her weights were/are
14.7 lbs at 10 wks
27.3 lbs at 16 weeks
42 lbs at 25 weeks
47.8 lbs at 28 weeks she stand approx 24" at the shoulder
50.00 lbs at 32 weeks still standing approx 24: at shoulder
**I had Zoe stand against a walkthru frame and measured her with a pencil on the wall. Then I measured the wall and dated it. I remember the owner of a restaurant in Maryland used to do that to me where my mom worked.......those crabs after school were so delicious!**
How sad is this. It has only been a year and I have forgotten the formula, but I THINK at 16 weeks you double the weight and add 10 lbs. for a standard doodle. Our Cimmy was right around 30 lbs at 16 weeks and she is now about 73 lbs. So it was a pretty close call for her. I would say that Emma will be close to Cimmy. Around 70 lbs. GREAT SIZE!!!
im surprised forher to be that big . our breeder said she'll prob be around high 50's to 60. emma is still a lightweight. if she does grow to be 70lb , so excited for it. i love big dogs !especially big dog with tons of fur. :)
Ted (F4) is now 6months (26weeks) and his Height is 57cm (22.5" for those of you on the other side of the pond)and his weight is 34lb (15.4kg).
So the growth chart I found is still working out correct, but the band has now narrowed slightly - Full grown he should be between 48-54lb and 67cm (26")- so he will be a smallish standard labradoodle (phew!!!)
14.3 at 10 weeks
22 at 14 weeks (45cm) (17.7")
26.2 at 16 weeks
34 at 26 weeks (57cm) (22.5")
My Dood is will be six months next week, but he's shorter and heavier....21.5" and 40 pounds. He doesn't seem to be overweight (I can still feel his ribs), but I'm thinking he must have a much stockier build than Ted. I'm thinking Murphy will be a pretty average size standard.
Jane looking at your pics, Murphy certainly doesn't look overweight.
When we bath Ted or he goes for a swim,we get concerned that he might be under weight. But the vet says he's just right, I think one of the vets at our surgery thought Ted was overweight when she first looked at him but then he felt him and looked very surprised - all the fluff is so deceptive.
This pic was taken just after his first haircut about 6 weeks ago, he was taken down to about 2". It's a pretty fair representation of his porportions.
He does look perfect! I think Murphy is broader and maybe "bigger boned". He'll be the kind of dog where we'll have to watch his weight as he gets older....he's an "eating machine" which seems to be okay now because he's growing so fast. I love his haircut! I need to think about that for Murphy now that the weather is getting really warm here.
